tERRENCEjON dYCK (CAN/MEX) aka tACHOtALK

_Armed with a portable audio recorder, handycam & his laptop, cULTURE gLU video was self shot over one day in & around his Mexico studio. The artist pitched a visceral, organic, rare trip, using pop culture via 'mock' music video style, appropriating famous singers & their 'hit' songs as the baseline. He transmits a full range of emotion passionately 'karaokeafying' (unscripted randomly streaming them spontaneously from memory) famous standards imprinted within his subconscious psyche. In a conceptually surprising twist, tERRENCjON turns down & mutes out his own voice singing the pop icon's 'hit' songs, brazenly overdubbing his own prerecorded original vocal tracks. Rhythmic & raw, he croons his original word pop lyrics, marking a new path, that unfolds as a tasty array of soundsnacks, releasing quick-fix multi-layered visual snip-its...overwhelming sweet nostalgia in favor of a provocative blunt, blast-representing a new world breed, touching & scratching on the pulse of the future.
